I am not here to bore you with the origins of the french Fry.  Personally, I really don't care if it was created in France, Belgium, The Netherlands or on Mars.

As with the on-going development of many foods - progress does not necessarily mean better quality or better taste.  In the case of the french Fry, our overly lazy society has been willing to accept a poor substitute "the frozen french Fry" as a replacement for fresh cut, deep fried potatoes.

Restaurants Love Frozen French Fries!  Why?

• They require less labor;

• There is little waste;

• They are convenient to store;

• They store for longer periods than fresh product.

BUT - they do not taste the same, nor do they have the same texture as fresh cut french Fries!

If your anything like me, a French Fry-Aholic, nothing can replace the taste and texture of a fresh cut (hand cut), deep fried french fry and I will go miles out of my way to enjoy them.
